It turns out I still love
My father worked as a part time photographer with his Canon FTb, which is where my fascination began. There was something exciting and romantic about the whole process, from getting the shot to many hours developing prints in the dark room. 25 years later, I took the same Canon FTb to India and captured my travels on film. This reignited my interest and inspired me to keep shooting.
Today, I still shoot with a full frame Canon, just in megapixels. As I continue to study accomplished artists, past and present, the learning and growing continues, along with great appreciation for the masters.
This site is a place to view my recent shots, and get in touch if you'd like to work together. Send a note, or find me on social media.
What I love to do
As I've been exploring and learning, portrait photography has revealed itself as my passion. If you need a headshot for social media, a portfolio, or just for fun, let's chat.
Taking fun+casual shots in a lit booth at events is a blast. Creative and goofy or slick and minimal—I'd love to be there. Get in touch for details.
This is Annie
She is amazing.
This is Michelle. When a project calls for it, she provides art direction, assists on-location and helps me with post-production. We're a great team and love working on creative projects together.
Michelle is the graphic designer and visual artist behind Violet De Vine Design—you can check out her online portfolio / shop here.
